FLAG CEREMONY 08/04/2010 Special event

I have posted flag seremony pictures previously but this Wednesday August 4, 2010 at the City of Orange traffic circle, was a bit special, with four current Iraq vets in attendance plus reading the names of fallen soldiers for the month of July.  That is the saddest part of the entire program.  Two of the young vets back from Iraq knew one of the fallen servicemen killed when a motar round exploded in the tube while firing it.

This was the biggest crowd I have seen in over a year of attendance, maybe the word is getting out.  Most of the regulars were there plus a lot of new faces as well.
Certificate of Appreciation for Becky our bugler, who will be returning next week.

Some of the young vets parents were in attendance.
Reading of the roll call for fallen Heros.
One name stands out as he was a close friend of two of the vets in attendance.  A special tribute to: Jacob Dennis PFC-Army, 7-03-2010, Powder Springs, GA.  He was friends of Joshua Johnson in attendance here tonight along with his parents.  It was an honor to have all these folks at our little ceremony.
Talk about sharp looking salutes, wow!
These are a few past and present heros!
A quick video of the Roll Call of heros.
